Thermal physics - molecular properties of matter

This project focuses on techniques for analysing the thermodynamic behavour of three different gases - CO2, Cl2, and H2O - per the Van der Waal's equation using the Newton-Raphson method, invesitgating key characterstics such as pressure-volume relationships, inflection points, and phase transitions throuhg numerical methods and data plotting. Based off a university assignment.

This repository comprises:

  • A Jupyter notebook comprising the code as well as a detailed markdown breakdown of said code.
  • The assignment used.
