Install

Launching the app once registers the extension, the plug-in itself stays within the app bundle.

Uninstall

Delete the app.

Update

Replace the older app by the newer app, in the same location.

Settings

If you don't see the setting in the companion App, this means macOS is not using the latest version.
If you are certain it is the latest version, there is a debugging step you can create/rename a file, webm or not, empty or not, into settings.oil3.webm, changing then file extension if asked to.
Then QuickLook thefile // TODO: Complete the paragraph.

AV1

// TODO: Complete the paragraph. QLCodec handles it 100%.

FYI macOS looks for the extension inside the app, at the location from which it was launched the first time, so if you move it, a relaunch is needed.
It makes sense to overwrite or delete previous versions to prevent conflict.
