Doubts on how read_sql works

hi all,
Can someone please explain how read_sql actually works ?

import connectorx as cx
conn = 'mssql://username:password@server:port/database?encrypt=true&trusted_connection=true'         # connection token
query = 'SELECT * FROM table'                 # query string
cx.read_sql(conn, query, return_type="arrow") # read data from MsSQL

Have the below mentioned questions - Would appreciate if we can get some information on the same.

1. Say my table is a big data with volumes in billions, will the above code bring the entire resultset into memory ?
   Of course this is with the assumption we do not have any unique column to partition on.
2. Can we control the number of records it fetches at a time ?
3. If in case it does fetch a limited set - what would be the best option to iterate over the data ?
4. Does connector-x support AD Authentication ?
5. Are nvarchar(max) and varbinary fields supported ?
6. Any news on the snowflake connectivity options ?
