Provide a filtering mechanism

Only show units which meet some filtering criteria based on the Properties.

As an extension, parse the unit-files for extension sections, e.g., [X-Category] having additional properties which could be used to organize the unit files.

The idea is that there are sections which are not used by the "real" systemd components.
The 'X' sections are for components like, well, sysd-manager.

I had started working on porting systemd-pilot to rust, when I stumbled on sysd-manager.

Hi,

I think that extending the filter is a great idea.

Now the way it works, is that it loads in memory a basic properties set and after it's easy to filter those.

Filtering on a bigger property set might be doable with a cache. The cache will load only if the user request to filter on extended properties (the one you see on show all propertie).

Filtering on Unit File Properties will require SysDM to read all unit files, I wonder if it will be a performance issue. Also it will require new permissions (read file) to the Flatpak.

I go to vacation soon so i won't work on it for a while, but I will put this feature in the timeline.

I was thinking that there should be an index maintained for the unit files.

I was thinking a combination of:
