Feature Request: Adding Detection Distance API Command

If you could add a command to set the detection distance through an API command, similar to starting the connection test, that would be a big help. I'm finding I have to adjust the distance based on the nozzle size I am using and whether my object has a lot of straight lines (and therefore longer single line gcode commands). Thanks!!!
