Hi!

As I was roaming around rs.gbif.org, I was wondering - do you have some kind of release mechanism for these important schemas?

For instance, for https://rs.gbif.org/sandbox/experimental/data-packages/dwc-dp/0.1/ , is there an equivalent release that versioned the associated json resources?

Thanks @jhpoelen. Sorry this went unanswered for 2 weeks.

The simple answer is that at the moment, no. They have been rapidly evolving in this experimental space aiming to move towards some level of stability that can then be "frozen". At that point, there will be versioned editions as they evolve further towards being suitable for a public release candidate; we're targeting September for that.

Longer term, if accepted within a public review in Darwin Core the intention is to have these maintained by the DwC Maintenance Group, and I would assume (but it hasn't been discussed) that they would live within the TDWG repository of schemas, not this GBIF one. We're discussing trying to get DwC onto a 3 or 4-monthly release cycle.
