Use Cases

The minimal phone (minimalcompany com) is an epaper and qwerty physical keyboard phone that released in 2025. The idea of a physical keyboard always connected seems to be rare enough to have no support.

The 'minimal keyboard' software is kind of ok, it would be nice to switch to futo for me as it is vastly more finished and polished.

Proposal

The futo keyboard has various parts, the big one is the actual a-z keys. There are today options like "split" and "one fingered" ways to show that keyboard. But what I'd really like to see is to make them not show at all.
Again, this is about the actual keys, not the other parts of the application. Auto-complete, cursor keys and all that jazz should not be modified and just show.

I'd argue that the by far simplest and least specific method to support this device is to have a new "Resize keyboard" strategy with "None".
