anvil vs hardhat and console.log()

Are there any features supported by hardhat that aren't supported by anvil? In particular, can you specify that anvil should not enforce contract size limits?

I'm actually really here to ask whether it's possible to use forge-std e.g. console.log() calls from within contracts running in anvil, in order to see debugging output?
