Using aiokafka within Docker Container

I am trying to connect to Kafka from within a docker container to another docker container using the other containers name. I am getting an error [Errno 99] Cannot assign requested address.

This happens when the external i.e advertised_kafka_api Kafka API address is bound to localhost (typical docker-compose) setup.

Any clue on why such an error ?
