Feature request: Warning before uninstalling mod

It would be nice if MO would warn the user before uninstalling a mod which is part of a Profile. This could be an optional feature.

Why: If a player has several Profiles, it can easily happen that older profiles use older mod versions. Now it is just a simple click to remove a mod - regardless how much Profiles are using it. Players may want to keep older versions in playthroughs where changes/upgrades in mods may introduce instability.

Altternatively the right click menu of the mod could list the Profiles where it is used currently.

We have a developer working to refactor the Mod Organizer codebase, and separating profiles is part of this goal. This may eliminate the need for this warning, as you will be able to install profile-independent mods as well as global mods.

It's been 18 months now. :) Any plans about a feature to see which profiles a mod belongs to? Or what Silarn mentioned?

The developer working on the refactor left and with her any plans to continue with it as the codebase already diverged too much.
We will probably add a warning sooner or later but this isn't really high priority. A user can usually tell whether he really wants to delete a mod or not. We have been working on other stuff. You can see the development changelog in the wiki of this repo
