Does SmartSteamEmu work with games using a dedicated server e.g. ARK and Dark and Light

I tried the SmartSteamEmu with Dark and Light, started both the game and the dedicated server using SmartSteamEmu. I can see the server in the server list but I cannot connect. I just get a "connection timeout" while joining.
I suppose that it has something to do with the additional port the server uses for connection (7777).

Is this just a configuration issue or does this not work at all with your emulator?
