I want markdown oxide to become a terrific PKM, one that is preferable to Logseq or Obsidian for PKMers -- even if the PKMers are not involved in programming and do not have text editing preferences. I also want to use markdown oxide on mobile!! This idea would solve both of these problems. Here is an overview of what I am thinking if it were to be implemented in the distant future.
Of course, this editor would be completely free and open source.
Would this be achievable? I could be if we do not start from scratch; The Zed text editor is open source and provides a TERRIFIC editing experience. It also already supports the LSP, has a beautiful UI, and has a great vim mode. Markdown-oxide already works quite well on Zed; Zed could be...
Another blocker could be that incompatibility with Zed's open-source license.
