1. What kind of database is used?
2. Does the homepage load all posts? Isn't there a function to load portions at a time?
3. What happens to the reported posts?

1. What kind of database is used?

We used a NoSQL database (MongoDB) but it can also be done using a SQL database like MySQL

2. Does the homepage load all posts? Isn't there a function to load portions at a time?

Yes, for now the homepage loads all the posts. A pagination system can be implemented to optimize this further

3. What happens to the reported posts?

When a post is reported a certain number of times in a short duration it gets hidden and doesn't show up in the site anymore
